 Importance of Dawah Among Non-Muslims in the Modern Era

Dear respected teachers, honorable judges, and my dear brothers and friends — Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh.

Today I would like to speak on a very important topic: "The Importance of Dawah among Non-Muslims in the Modern Era." This topic is not only important but also our duty, our responsibility, and our identity as Muslims.

 Introduction

My dear brothers, Islam is a religion of peace. Islam teaches love, mercy, justice, and truth. But these teachings must reach every human being. This is why Dawah is important. Dawah means inviting others to the message of Islam with wisdom, good words, and beautiful character.

In the modern world people are confused. Many hearts are empty. They are searching for peace. And the real peace can only be found in Islam. So giving Dawah is more important today than ever before.

 Why Dawah is Important in This Modern Era

There are many strong reasons:

  • The world is connected — social media, internet, travel.
  • People are confused about spirituality.
  • Many people have wrong ideas about Islam.
  • Muslims must show the truth with love and wisdom.
  • Dawah is a Sunnah of the Prophet ﷺ.

 Quranic Verses About Dawah

Surah An-Nahl 16:125

Arabic:
ادْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

English Meaning: "Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good advice."

Surah Fussilat 41:33

Arabic:
وَمَنْ أَحْسَنُ قَوْلًا مِّمَّن دَعَا إِلَى اللَّهِ

English Meaning: "Who is better in speech than the one who calls to Allah?"

Surah Ali 'Imran 3:104

Arabic:
وَلْتَكُن مِّنكُمْ أُمَّةٌ يَدْعُونَ إِلَى الْخَيْرِ

English Meaning: "Let there be among you a group who invite to goodness."

 Hadith About Dawah

Arabic:
بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً

English Meaning: "Convey from me even if it is one verse." (Bukhari)

Arabic:
لَأَنْ يَهْدِيَ اللَّهُ بِكَ رَجُلًا وَاحِدًا خَيْرٌ لَكَ مِنْ حُمْرِ النَّعَمِ

English Meaning: "If Allah guides one person through you, it is better for you than red camels." (Bukhari & Muslim)

Arabic:
الدِّينُ النَّصِيحَةُ

English Meaning: "Religion is sincere advice." (Muslim)

 Dawah in Today’s World

My beloved audience, today we live in a digital era. People use social media, YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, and many other platforms. So Dawah is easier today. We can spread Islam through our good manners, our behavior, our kindness, and our peaceful actions.

Non-Muslims will understand Islam when they see Muslims living like real Muslims.

  • Speak kindly
  • Show honesty
  • Help the poor
  • Avoid fighting
  • Show mercy and patience
  • Show good behavior to neighbors

 Beautiful Middle Message

My dear respected audience, Dawah does not mean arguing or fighting. Dawah means showing the beauty of Islam through good character.

If we smile, people will love Islam. If we speak softly, people will respect Islam. If we show kindness, people will come closer to Islam.

Let us spread Islam with wisdom. Let us spread Islam with mercy. Let us spread Islam with beautiful character.
