Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah, Dear respected teachers, honorable judges, and my dear friends — I welcome all of you. Today, I am going to speak on a very important topic: “The Importance of Dawah among Non-Muslims in the Modern Era.”

Introduction

Dear audience, Islam is a religion of peace, mercy, and guidance. Allah sent our beloved Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) as a guide for all mankind. In this modern world, where people are confused, stressed, and searching for meaning, it is our responsibility to share the message of Islam with wisdom and kindness.

What is Dawah?

Dawah means inviting people to the truth, showing them the beauty of Islam, and guiding them towards the right path. Dawah is not only for scholars — every Muslim can do it through good character, good words, and good actions.

Why Dawah Is Important Today?

• Because many people today do not know the real message of Islam.
• There are many misunderstandings about Muslims worldwide.
• Non-Muslims are searching for peace and purpose in life.
• Technology has connected the world, making Dawah easier.

Qur'an and Hadith References

Allah says in the Qur'an:

ادْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِالْحِكْمَةِ وَالْمَوْعِظَةِ الْحَسَنَةِ

(“Invite to the way of your Lord with wisdom and good advice.”) — Surah An-Nahl, 16:125

Another ayah says:

وَمَا أَرْسَلْنَاكَ إِلَّا رَحْمَةً لِلْعَالَمِينَ

(“We have sent you only as a mercy for all worlds.”) — Surah Al-Anbiya, 21:107

The Prophet (ﷺ) said:

بَلِّغُوا عَنِّي وَلَوْ آيَةً

“Convey from me, even if it is one verse.” — Bukhari

How to Call Non-Muslims in Modern Times

Dear audience, today Dawah can be done in many smart and peaceful ways:

• Through good manners: Smiling, honesty, and kindness attract hearts.
• Through social media: Sharing Islamic posts, articles, and short videos.
• Through conversation: Talking politely and answering questions.
• Through helping others: Serving people makes Islam visible and lovable.

Addressing the Audience

My dear brothers and friends sitting in front of me — listen carefully. If we want people to know real Islam, then our character must speak louder than our words. If you smile, help others, speak gently, and behave politely — people will automatically ask, “Why are Muslims so good?” This is the best form of Dawah.

Challenges in Modern Era

There are also some challenges:

• Media spreading false information about Islam
• Lifestyle distractions
• Lack of knowledge among Muslims

But still, the opportunity is greater than the challenges. Because people today are more open-minded and ready to learn if we explain with wisdom.

Our Responsibility

Each of us has a responsibility. You don’t need long speeches. Just show Islam through your behavior. Your smile can be Dawah. Your kindness can be Dawah. Your honesty can be Dawah.

The Best Example — Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ)

Our Prophet (ﷺ) changed the world through mercy, patience, and good character. He forgave his enemies, prayed for them, and treated them with respect. This is the model we must follow today.

Dear respected teachers and friends, the modern world needs Islam more than ever. People need peace, justice, love, and guidance. Through peaceful and wise Dawah, we can bring humanity closer to truth.
