📖 Eid al-Adha –

 The Story of Sacrifice Long ago, there was a prophet named Ibrahim (Abraham). He was a good man who always obeyed Allah. One night, he saw a dream. In the dream, Allah told him to sacrifice his beloved son, Ismail. At first, it was hard. But Prophet Ibrahim loved Allah more than anything. He told Ismail about the dream. Ismail said, “Father, do as Allah has told you.” So, they went to the mountain. Ibrahim laid down his son. But when he tried to sacrifice him, Allah stopped him. Allah sent a ram (a big sheep) from Jannah to sacrifice instead. Allah was very pleased with their obedience. So every year, Muslims around the world remember this story. They sacrifice animals and share the meat with the poor, friends, and family. This is called Eid al-Adha, the festival of sacrifice.

 --- 📚 বাংলা অনুবাদ: কুরবানির ঈদের গল্প অনেক আগের কথা। একজন নবী ছিলেন—তাঁর নাম ছিল ইব্রাহিম (আলাইহিস সালাম)। তিনি ছিলেন আল্লাহর এক অনুগত বান্দা। এক রাতে তিনি একটি স্বপ্ন দেখলেন— স্বপ্নে তিনি শুনলেন, আল্লাহ তাঁকে তাঁর প্রিয় সন্তান ইসমাইল (আ.)-কে কুরবানী করতে বলছেন। প্রথমে সেটা তাঁর জন্য কঠিন ছিল, কিন্তু তিনি আল্লাহকে সবচেয়ে বেশি ভালোবাসতেন। তিনি তাঁর ছেলে ইসমাইলকে বললেন, ইসমাইল বলল: “হে আব্বা, আপনি যা আদেশ পেয়েছেন তা পালন করুন।” তারা পাহাড়ের দিকে গেল। ইব্রাহিম (আ.) তাঁর ছেলেকে শুইয়ে রাখলেন। কিন্তু যখন কুরবানী করতে গেলেন, আল্লাহ তাঁকে থামালেন এবং জান্নাত থেকে একটি দুম্বা পাঠালেন, যেটাকে কুরবানী করতে বলা হল। আল্লাহ তাঁদের এই ভক্তি ও আনুগত্যে খুব খুশি হলেন। তাই প্রতি বছর মুসলিমরা এই ঘটনাকে স্মরণ করে ঈদুল আযহা পালন করে। তারা পশু কুরবানী করে, এবং সেই মাংস গরীব, আত্মীয় ও বন্ধুদের মাঝে ভাগ করে দেয়।
